I think that the Researches did a fantastic job in their study. They were very thorough. I think the conclusion was not entirely surprising and I would be very curious of the results of a similar study with a more recent and interactive new technology, such as SMILE, or even twitter. The study also showed some very telling insight about social safety nets and encouraging fellow students, with a decrease in the dropout rate for the blogging class.
I personally am not sure about blogging in today's day and age, technology has moved more towards VLOGS on platforms such as YouTube and Twitch. I even think micro vlogs like on Tik Tok would be an interesting study!
