week 7 assignment #2
Secondlife provides a great platform for multimodality. There are visual elements and contextual content which can greatly enhance social learning. As it pertains to ELA, there is a ton of textual interaction. The player of the game reads onscreen instruction as well as interact with other players.
A teacher can incorporate the game by having students log in and interact within the game. This provides a fun social atmosphere conducive to learning and gaining knowledge.
